Soccer Goes to Dominican Republic

Several Mississippi Soccer players along with a mission group from Broadmoor Baptist Church made a trip to the Dominican Republic.  Thanks to a generous donation from Score Sports, they were able to take a plentiful supply
of soccer equipment with then.  As seen in this photo, the group had a great time and were able to leave the soccer equipment with a local church for future enjoyment by all.  Seen in the picture are MSA players: McKenzie Adams, Carrie Hancock, Bryce Wheatley, and Rachel Ashworth.

MS River Challenge League Information

In response to a need for Division II teams to have a central place to locate and identify other Division II teams to play and coordinate games, Tim Bruni (SMSC) and Lloyd Pickering (HYSA) have created the Mississippi River Challenge League for Division II Intermediate teams.

The league will be a self scheduled league for any Division II or Intermediate teams from Alabama, Louisiana and Mississippi. According to Pickering, we have contacts for over 50 teams that are looking to play in this league. All teams must be registered with their USYS State Association and have current player passes and state rosters.

Teams will split referee costs and pay at the fields. While this League is not being operated by the Mississippi Soccer Association, the league can be accessed through the MIssissippi Soccer website.
