The Mississippi Soccer Association’s ODP is offering exciting opportunities for the 2017-2018 year. All players currently enrolled in the 2016-2017 year can re-enroll for the upcoming year. We will have tryouts for new players. Tryouts will occur during ODP training so new players can see our current talent.
We offer eight training sessions throughout the year. We will continue to have the training sessions on Sunday afternoons (1-5 pm: 1-2:30 pm & 3:30-5 pm). In order to be eligible for Region ODP Camp at the end of the year, players must attend at least six of the eight training sessions. Attendance at training will be taken. Training sessions will be in the Jackson area as it is a central point within the state. We will also offer some Player Performance Centers (PPC’s) around the state to provide further training opportunities in group settings. However, we want to keep the ODP training sessions in a central location so players are training together in a team environment.
We will also offer one tournament in the Fall and one in the Spring. During the summer months, we will offer 1-2 events; all based on the team. State ODP Camp, held in June, is mandatory. We will also offer a three-day mini-camp at TBA December 17-19. This camp will also be a mandatory camp for 2005-2007 age groups.
The State Select Team program will also be available to older players (high school age). This program offers college showcase events to give players exposure to college coaches. Events are offered throughout the year and if enough players register for an event, then we take a team to play!
While the MSA College ID Camp & Coaches Forum in February is not an ODP event, it is highly recommended that all high school aged players attend.
Players must be registered for ODP tryouts and invited to participate in the ODP Pool Training Sessions before registering. These are the elite pools of players by which a MSA ODP team in each age/gender division will be chosen to attend ODP camp during the summer of 2017.
ODP Enrollment is managed through the Players account with their own club in GotSoccer.
FIRST - The player must have an account in the MSA GotSoccer Registration System.
Enrollment Information - Read this section and all forms carefully and completely.
Insure that your e-mail is correct in the Got Soccer system and that you have your e-mail account set to allow e-mails from mississippisoccer.org
Enrollment only adds the player to the ODP tryout event.
After completing after completing tryouts and being successfully invited to the Mississippi State Select team Pool, log into "Register for 2017-2018 ODP Training Pool" using your account. You will receive e-mails advising of ongoing training sessions, pool sessions, or team sessions.
