Soccer Divisions Summitt Successful

Club Presidents and other interested officers and members from around the State met to discuss the current status of soccer in Mississippi and brainstorm in work groups to come up with new, fresh ideas.

The days started with self examination and then those assembled were broken into groups of different clubs and different roles. The next few hours included intense brainstorming. After lunch, the groups reassembled to work some more. At 3:00 PM the main body reassembled and met to explain their concepts. At the close of their presentations, those four concepts were brought into another consensus plan.

This meeting represents the first of many ongoing meetings to work to improve the soccer experience for our children.


MSA Team Results at the USYS Southern Regionals
Mississippi as a whole was out scored 92 to 24 a ratio of 4:1

In Group Play, the girls were out scored 55 to 8, a ratio of 7:1

In Group Play, the Boys were out scored 37 – 16, a ratio of 3:1

In semi finals play, the boys teams were outscored 5 – 0
