TRAVEL ASSISTANCE
may be available. Travel and Lodging are stipends used to assist in offsetting a portion of an officials travel accommodations. Travel Assistance will be paid to the official who is the driver/owner of the vehicle and not to officials who are passengers. Referees that travel to an event in which they, or a child, is playing should not expect travel assistance. The amount and rules for eligibility are based upon one way travel and a stated required numbers of games an official is available.

20 - 49 One way Miles - $5.00
50 - 99 One way Miles - $20.00

100 - 199 One way Miles - $40.00
200+ One way Miles - $60.00

State level Officials will receive an additional $10 Stipend

Travel Pay will be calculated in advance of the tournament. If you do not register in advance, there may not be funds available at the tournament. Any travel stipend will be sent at a later date.

LODGING ASSISTANCE may be available. Officials will be assigned two per room and should advise the assignor if a room is needed well in advance of the tournament. Any traveling referee not at the Referee check-in/meeting prior to the start of the tournament will have their room cancelled. If you find that you will not be at the meeting and will arrive late, you must contact MSA in advance and advise them so that you do not lose your room.

ASSESSMENTS are available, if requested in advance. Please indicate that you would like an assessment on the form. Understand, however, that we cannot assign someone to a certain game solely because of an assessment request. Every attempt will be made to honor an assessment request, but the integrity of the tournament is of primary importance.
